Another busy week in McFly world! 4 Keep Calm And Play Louder gigs across England - Norwich, Southend, Reading and Hammersmith Apollo in London, which was filmed by David Spearing for Super City! Not sure when exactly the full-length gig will be available to watch, however this morning, David tweeted that it will take some time to edit, but he assures us that he’ll deliver a superb piece of footage! 

Also, we know a couple of the girls at HeatWorld (Heat Magazine) are huge McFly fans, and rarely miss a McFly tour. So it wasnt a surprise to see that they attended the Hammersmith gig last night. The girls who were there took to the Heatworld twitter to assure fans that the new songs are the best yet!

This week was an extra busy week for PONES! Not only was it a mental week with the tour, but also, Danny put on two OUTSTANDING afterparties in Norwich and London and Dougie’s clothing line Saint Kidd FINALLY launched! They have released just a few of the pieces from the collection (more to be added) along with accessories and backgrounds which are available to download. The website was very difficult to access for most due to the congestion on the page - Dougie said they were not expecting the amount of traffic on the first day! They tell us that the page is currently under maintenance and we hope to see it up and running again after the weekend. The other HUGE news of the week is that the GLEE mission - set up by our friends at www.missionmcfly.com generated A LOT of interest during the massive twitter take over on Friday evening. Not only did we manage to reach over 1000 sigs on the twitition, but we also received a tweet in reply to our spamage from none other than one of the music producers at GLEE! Which was amazing!

IN OTHER NEWS; The boys went to check out an “amazing” studio to record the 6th album, Tom reveals on twitter that he is contemplating a new tattoo, Tom covered the Beatles’ track “Blackbird” for his youtube channel and there is brief talk of Carrie supporting McFly on a future show.

ITS HERE! FINALLY! After weeks of planning, our friends at @mission_mcfly (missionmcfly.com) have launched their latest mission - to get the Glee cast of preform a McFly song on the show! The purpose of the mission is to spread the word of McFly in the US and other countries around the world who have not yet been exposed to their music! 

GLEE is a multi-award winning hit US TV show which has had success globally. And if McFly’s music were to feature on the show, not only would it showcase their wonderful lyrics to a different audience, but it would also give them the opportunity to gain recognition as a band in more countries, which would hopefully result in them actually visiting those countries! 

SO, how can YOU help us out?! Well.. first of all, we’re currently trying to trend #mcflyonglee on twitter (06/04/12 from 7pm - 12am UK time). By doing this, we’ll gain not only McFly fans, but GLEEKS who want to know all about it - instantaniously creating awareness and new McFly fans who havent heard of them before! It may also grab the attention of GLEE’s team, cast and other people involved in the show - again encouraging them to find out what its about.

So, theres nothing else to do but SPAM! And GET MCFLY ON GLEE! 

This week has been a very rewarding one for McFly fans! Firstly, McFly continued their UK theatre tour Keep Calm And Play Louder across Southhampton, Swindon, Plymouth and Torquay. And all gigs were as energetic and buzzing as the last! Also, Super City’s Webmaster felt very generous this week and decided to give away some meet and greets and other prizes to subscribers who have used the site regularly! 

After weeks and weeks of spamming, poster making, emailing, blogging, RTing and BEGGING! We finally reached our 3000 signature target on our Their Mag twitition! A massive thank you goes out to @McFlyMetro who discovered the organisation and set up the twitition, and, of course, to @theirmagcom for all their hard work and help in our mission to get our very own cover2cover magazine available around the world for ALL fans to purchase! Metro very kindly thought of us and asked us to join their mega team to promote the mag, and along with @fletchersource, @poyntersource and @mission_mcfly, we spread the word and recruited a lot of support and help from other great fanpages along the way which was great! It definitely restored McFly Army and showed that we really are a worldwide fanbase who support not only our band, but eachother! Dont forget if you have signed the twitition, please email admin@theirmag.com to be put on the McFly mailing list, then TheirMag can send you info on ordering the magazine!

We’ve held some awesome comps this week for our twitter followers! We gave away some vintage merch containing a laminated Danny photo from the Wonderland tour! And we currently have a WoWee speaker to  give away which was kindly donated by Their Mag as a thank you and well done for reaching our twitition target! To enter, all you have to do is email micky@fletchersource.com with the subject title “THEIRMAG COMP”! No question, no right or wrong, just simply email that subject! Us McFlyers have really dominated the twitter trending topics this week! Firstly, our TheirMag trend totally took over even the worldwide trends! Also, #Supercityontour managed to trend which was great to see! As well as ‘Harry Judd’ trending worldwide on Friday night, showing support for our Judd after his fantastic unique performance on Strictly Underwater for Sport Relief.

This week, Super City posted that McFly had been nominated for a “Greats Of Britain” award! We were already aware of this a few weeks back and the band were only 17th in the line up, but since Super City made more fans aware, we have shot up to the AMAZING 2nd place! We need just over 700 votes to beat Susan Boyle (I know, right?!) to first place.. so its YOUR duty next week to really spread the word & LETS WIN THIS THING :). http://www.thegreatexhibition2012.co.uk/greats/mcfly.

Just thought its been a while since we have blogged on here & there has been a lot happening in McFly world recently! My fellow twitter fanpages have came up with some awesome projects & Im helping to promote McFly Metro’s twitition to get a McFly issue of Their Mag! It seems to be on the cards however we still need to prove that there IS scope for it so we need to keep signing and spreading the word! 

Our friends at Mission McFly have came up with an awesome new mission.. to get a McFly song featured on GLEE! To get more info on how you can help with this, visit their website or ask them about it on twitter!

Also, our friends at Fletchersource are working on a lovely project aimed to show the boys how much we love them & how much we’re looking forward to tour! The deadline for that is 25th March. Find out more at the website & follow them on twitter too!

Not long to go until tour! Its now a matter of days till the boys set off round the UK on their Keep Calm And Play Louder tour! If your not able to go to the tour, DONT WORRY! Super City will (hopefully) be posting daily vids following the guys around each venue. And if your not a Super City subscriber, its okay because we’ll be posting daily blogs with detailed info from the vids so you wont miss a thing.

Yes, ITS TRUE! Their Mag is an awesome magazine with a difference. They invite popular celebs to create their own magazine which will then be sold on to fans, both in the UK and Internationally! Their Mag have already produced magazines made by JLS, Alexandra Burke and Cher Lloyd.

We all know our boys have had a lot of rubbish written about them in the past, and this is our chance to read what THEY have to say! And perhaps even get some info on what’s ahead for McFly! 

So, as McFly fans, we have requested a McFly issue of Their Mag! Not only would it be great to own a whole magazine made by the band, but we also think it would be a great way to spread the McFly word across the globe, and for the boys to give their take on their success. 

BUT! In order to get our own McFly edition of Their Mag, WE NEED YOUR HELP! The lovely people at Their Mag love the idea but they need to make sure there is demand of it.. so in order to show them that we definitely DO demand it, all you have to do is SIGN this twitition and follow THEIR MAG on twitter! We need to get the twitition up in the 000’s to get the mag! 

Our friends at McFly Metro are also running a competition to win a Harry autograph for everyone who signs the twitition! See their website for more or contact them on twitter!

We want to thank you all for your fantastic support with both our tumblr page and our twitter! We work hard to ensure we bring our followers the latest McFly news & updates, as well as informing you whats going on in Galaxy Defenders’ world & telling you what everyones talking about! 

We regularly make edits, post videos and take part in trend attempts to let the whole world know that we truely are the best and most dedicated fanbase EVER!

We also really want to help promote other fanpages who work hard to bring fans the ultimate news, games, pics & chat on twitter. At the moment, we’re helping The McFly Team  to gain more recognition and support. I updated their background, icon & bio to make their page more appealing to McFlyers & due to awesome tweets and with the aim to unite all McFlyers worldwide, we have gained over 100 followers in a matter of days!

We have also launched a new project to promote a different fansite each month called #PONESpagepromo. January’s page is HERE, a highly popular page which formally supported Dougie whilst in the jungle, but still strives to entertain followers with games, quizzes and McFly chat.

Plus we work closely with our ‘sister page’ Team FLOYNTER to ensure followers on both pages get ALL news and info. We also work together to think of awesome project ideas for McFly fans. They also have a great tumblr page! Check that out HERE.

Its the first fan project that Webmaster on Supercity LOVED and have agreed to help out with be sending us an address to post it to them as both them and the band would love to read it! The book contains fans’ highlights, stories, memories and favourite things about McFly in 2011. The entries we’ve received have been AWESOME!!!! Better than I expected, thank you! I’ll be putting the book together on Wed 28th Dec so if your running late with your entry, you can still email it before I print them!

Its been a fantastic year, and with the recent McFly victories on SCD and IAC, as well as a sold out UCAP tour and new album on the way, 2012 is looking even better already!

I came up with a cool idea & need ALL McFLYERS to help me out!!!! 

Im going to put together a YEARBOOK 2011 containing memories, quotes & favourite parts of 2011 for McFly and SuperCity! I have mailed Webmaster & they loved it!

My message: “Hi Webbie, Just a quick question.

I run a fanpage on twitter (@Team_PONES) and have came up with a cool idea. I was thinking it would be really cool for fans to to put together a “yearbook” for 2011 containing memories, quotes, things they’ve enjoyed from McFly this year. Its been a great year with the first full year of SuperCity, Im A Celeb, Strictly & the guys touring S.America etc and we’d like to put together something to show the band & SuperCity how much it all has meant to us.

This is different from all other projects has Super City has GUARANTEED that I can send it to them, which means the band WILL see it! 

HERES WHERE YOU COME IN: I need you all to type up your favourite parts of 2011 in terms of McFly.. your page could be about SuperCity (what you love about it, what it has done for you as a fan, your favourite memories e.g. a particular webchat, a chat you had with webmaster, receiving your pioneer pack or merch you bought), it could be a funny story involving McFly from this year (maybe from a gig, an M&G etc….), maybe you want to tell them about your favourite track from Above The Noise & what it’s meant to you. You can talk about ANYTHING! But it HAS to be a memory from this year & can be no longer than 1 page, size 12 font. You can include ONE picture in your piece. Please don’t put twitter names etc in your piece because realistically they wont use them and we wanna keep it nice & fun - not a desperate plea for a reply. I will put everyone’s pages in a hardback book!

HOW TO SEND: Please email your pieces to teampones@live.co.uk. Attach the word document in the email and please include your full name, not in the document  but in the email (i’ll include everyones names on the cover). Please put YEARBOOK 2011 as the subject.
